Set quietly into the woods, this home feels etched into the earth, shaped by materials that belong to the land. The architecture leans into a modern softness. Rounded volumes and ribbed wood details guide movement through the home. At its center, two sculptural kitchen islands sit with ease, allowing space to gather, not perform. Light moves through in long stretches, revealing shifts in tone and surface from morning to dusk. The kitchen flows into the family room, where a Normandy-style plaster hood and custom silver root marble hearth create quiet strength. The dining room follows naturally, built around a pleated marble pendant and a split dead-flat walnut table. Seating is mixed, intentional, and slightly offbeat—designed for lived-in gatherings, not formality. Private spaces echo the same control. A glass-wrapped closet offers calm utility. The steam and shower room is wrapped in linear marble and hand-troweled microcement, with a soft bench grounding the space in masculine stillness. Throughout, furniture and art are found, not placed. A Sabine Maes wall hanging piece discovered in North Carolina now rests in the sitting lounge as if it had always been there. Everything within this home—brass, stone, plaster, wood—works in rhythm. This is a house that listens before it speaks. Inviting a slower, more intentional way of living.

Solid brass, honed quartzite, bleached walnut, sand-blasted white oak, linear limestone, and integrated sinks with Italian faucetry are critical components in this home surrounded by views of Utah Lake and the Lone Peak of the Wasatch Mountains. Even in a home with 14’ windows and 25’ ceilings, intimate details matter most. It’s in the brass fins, providing a 1/2” shadow line, or the drywall bump-out with a ribbon of brass forming a handrail. It’s the stone drawer fronts on the island or the deep bevel on the stone slab shelving. Merging materials pushes the energy in a space, providing a touch of the unexpected. I designed the fireplace mantle with ridged limestone to be soft and light, yet deeply textural and intriguing. A 1/2” thick solid brass rib serves as the connector between the rough exterior limestone trailing from the outside to the inside and the vertical grooved mantle piece. I chose Colemandina marble for the face of the hearth room fireplace, adding more drama. Lighting plays a key role as part of the art throughout my home designs. For instance, Apparatus' Lariat light fixture dances in a free-standing staircase, with the lowest-hanging globe just above a bespoke water feature made of blue fusion marble. Upon walking in the front door, the expansive 25’ tall entry needed grounding. I designed a wall clad in walnut and aged brass, while the ceiling, stained in a light greige, adds weight overhead. The views toward Utah Lake take the forefront, but everything leading to it expresses a sophisticated Italian palette that reinforces the idea of craftsmanship and elegance.

A space where scale meets substance, this home is defined by intentional design and tactile refinement. Nestled in the Scottsdale desert with Camelback Mountain as its backdrop, the design embraces restraint—allowing space, form, and craftsmanship to take the lead. A curved vestibule softens transitions, while the bedroom’s sculpted wall creates depth without excess. The artisanal wet bar redefines luxury with textured bronze, a beveled waterfall edge, and an integrated stone sink met by a side-facing @gessi_official faucet. In the master bath, framed mirrors, @articolostudios lighting, and Bianco Superior countertops merge warmth with precision. The Poliform master closet balances sleekness with intimacy—leather-lined drawers, a sculptural island, and hidden lighting that recalls a refined lounge. Minimal yet richly layered, this home speaks in textures—bronze and stone, light and shadow—where every element is intentional, and the desert itself becomes part of the narrative.

I dreamed of a space without traditional walls, replacing them with brass filigree shelving and Italian glass doors, adding a sense of openness and camaraderie throughout the design. Seeking an outdoor-indoor experience with such intimate mountain views, I created refined elements of white oak merged with patina'd metals, rugged limestones, and a sense of tranquility. The furnishings, rooted in earthy naturalism, whisper informality and sanctuary.
