Each piece is crafted with a deep connection to the intrinsic qualities of natural surrounding elements—like the texture of hand-woven rugs or the raw beauty of bronze and brass. By delicately blending the earth’s ingredients with the precision of artisanal craftsmanship, Anne-Marie creates collections that introduce an unexpected curiosity into every space, offering beauty that is not only seen but felt.

Philosophy

Adding the touch of an artist’s hand brings an elevated transformation mixing crafted modern design with organic naturalism where a soulful connection is born.

Set quietly into the woods, this home feels etched into the earth, shaped by materials that belong to the land. The architecture leans into a modern softness. Rounded volumes and ribbed wood details guide movement through the home. At its center, two sculptural kitchen islands sit with ease, allowing space to gather, not perform. Light moves through in long stretches, revealing shifts in tone and surface from morning to dusk. The kitchen flows into the family room, where a Normandy-style plaster hood and custom silver root marble hearth create quiet strength. The dining room follows naturally, built around a pleated marble pendant and a split dead-flat walnut table. Seating is mixed, intentional, and slightly offbeat—designed for lived-in gatherings, not formality. Private spaces echo the same control. A glass-wrapped closet offers calm utility. The steam and shower room is wrapped in linear marble and hand-troweled microcement, with a soft bench grounding the space in masculine stillness. Throughout, furniture and art are found, not placed. A Sabine Maes wall hanging piece discovered in North Carolina now rests in the sitting lounge as if it had always been there. Everything within this home—brass, stone, plaster, wood—works in rhythm. This is a house that listens before it speaks. Inviting a slower, more intentional way of living.

This home rests on material honesty. Every surface was shaped to hold a sense of calm and historical permanence. Patagonia and Viola stone move through the space like a current that seamlessly flows and connects countertop and dining room shrouds, sinks, and backsplashes beneath the quiet glow of a hand-finished brass hood. It’s a gesture that feels inevitable, like it was always meant to be there. The palette stays close to the earth: walnut grain bringing tone and warmth, brass lending light, and art collected in frames that carry lineage and modern clarity at once. We let the materials do the talking. You feel it when the light shifts or when your hand meets the stone... decisions built around touch, temperature, and proportion. There’s a stillness in it that reminds me why restraint matters. Nothing is forced. It’s made to live with, to soften over time, and to hold that quiet pulse of our meaningful life.

Shibui was conceived around a quieter way of living, where daily rituals are allowed to lead. Rather than feeling stylistically literal, the home draws from the spirit of shibui itself: restraint, imperfection, depth, and beauty that reveals itself in time. Dry woods, expressive stone, aged everything, nubby textiles, vintage rugs, and collected objects give the interiors a tactile, grounded character. The kitchen and dining spaces reflect the way people naturally gather. An elongated island incorporates the feeling of a real wooden kitchen table, creating a warm place to lean. Beyond it, low furnishings and large expanses of drapery allow light to move freely through a rooms-without-walls sensibility, settling against permanent built forms and quieter, but still serious, material moments. At the center of the home is an elevated, Japanese-influenced space we call the Jewelry Box. Curated around the owner’s collection of found pieces, it becomes part altar, part study, part retreat, designed for working, thinking, collecting, or simply being. Shibui is ultimately a study in quiet depth. Simple things. Refined earth. Old treasures alongside new ones, and a material obsession expressed with enough restraint to let life remain the most important layer.

Our initial months at Wolf Creek Ranch were spent understanding the client's lifestyle and capturing their essence. This 160-acre ranch features rugged beams, a cabin-style exterior, bridges over water, and an art studio. The family has fully embraced their Utah ranch, with each piece in the home telling a story and adding depth. Custom-designed items and handmade elements create a natural patina, making the new feel undetectable and authentically aged. The expansive acreage allows for outdoor activities like fishing, snowmobiling, and riding motorcycles, reflecting an intentionally rugged living style. Unique details such as old roof tiles for backsplashes, real pizza ovens, and boulder fireplaces add high impact and volume, making this historically rich project one of my most treasured designs.

Rather than an expected front door experience, I knew the ocean would do the work... drawing you through the interiors and back out again to the rumbling coast. Creating my vision for both the architecture and the interior design started with an open floorplan where themes of playful interaction, saucy lounge dining, and chumming camaraderie could thrive. The kitchen flows into the ping pong area. The living room settles by the dining space, and the TV zones anchor both ends, allowing for multiple moments to happen at once. I knew the golfers would be there. But equally important was creating the sense that you never really came inside. The views are constant. Walls disappear. It feels easy. Natural. The four-year process of completing this home and the surrounding sanctuary cabins was the dreamiest I’ve ever done. From the moment you park, you’re met with the views, and you know it’s something special. The palette stays close to the land. Neutral, natural, communal with the outdoors. But a thread of ruined charcoal and burnt russet runs through, bringing a masculine energy and leathered warmth. This house embraces color, but stays honest to its setting. When designing the kitchen, I didn’t want the first thing you see to be a row of bar stool legs. To keep the view feeling calm and uninterrupted, I designed a skirted overhang. Framed with brass and reeded wood, it became a plinth. Practical, but treated like a sculptural moment.The materials are subtly linear, organic, and authentic. Light plays a quiet but important role, drawing attention to textures and moments without ever trying too hard. A granulated dark grey pebbled path leads to the entry, winding past private guest dwellings that offer both privacy and warmth. A putting green gently wraps into the sequence, and an extended limestone patio with firepit nearby becomes the perfect hang zone after dark, once the temperatures cool. I don’t believe in accessories. I believe in art form. Whether it’s a handcrafted bowl on the counter, a wooden brush at the sink, or a painting of the iconic Lone Cypress, each object belongs. Each piece speaks.

A space where scale meets substance, this home is defined by intentional design and tactile refinement. Nestled in the Scottsdale desert with Camelback Mountain as its backdrop, the design embraces restraint—allowing space, form, and craftsmanship to take the lead. A curved vestibule softens transitions, while the bedroom’s sculpted wall creates depth without excess. The artisanal wet bar redefines luxury with textured bronze, a beveled waterfall edge, and an integrated stone sink met by a side-facing @gessi_official faucet. In the master bath, framed mirrors, @articolostudios lighting, and Bianco Superior countertops merge warmth with precision. The Poliform master closet balances sleekness with intimacy—leather-lined drawers, a sculptural island, and hidden lighting that recalls a refined lounge. Minimal yet richly layered, this home speaks in textures—bronze and stone, light and shadow—where every element is intentional, and the desert itself becomes part of the narrative.
