Three Falls

Natural High

Composed of three interconnected pavilions, nature's rugged surroundings at the base of Utah’s Lone Peak are woven with the rigor of textured materials and artisan-ship. Strategically placed 12 foot tall windows preserve views throughout with rustic stone and a wood facade, seamlessly integrating with the landscape. Planted in the middle of both the living and the family room is a kitchen with three islands and a well-used french range. The linearized limestone mantle atop the 7’ long firebox, with a grounding graphite marble hearth is a strong contrast to the adjacent steel mantle I designed to hide the family television. I don’t use accessories, rather I hunt for individual art pieces connecting to the hands that made them. My curated artwork for this home ranges from hand painted acrylic pieces up to 8’ tall to woven wool wall hangings hung from wooden branches. A De Sede leather chair and ottoman, vintage lamps, and a refinished family heirloom piece add depth and a sense of old rather than all things new.
